JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marketing and Design Manager will create and maintain a consistent brand for CHCS in the community across all touchpoints to increase brand awareness and support key business strategies for the school: increasing enrollment and fundraising. 

Design and Creative

  • Design and maintain all brand assets and materials including all digital design assets and print materials. Certain assets are created and will need editing and updating; while others will need to be created from scratch.
  • Participate in designing and redesigning digital graphics (web, social media, etc), illustrations, advertisements, brochures and many other forms of visual communication
  • Analyze and plan the framework of design according to the laid out concept and established specifications of the project
  • Use a strong analytical and artistic approach to solve complex issues
 

Website management

  • Ensure content [both visual and written] aligns with the user journey, user needs, represents the brand and is current and relevant. Specifically, write site content and design site content, and implement via WordPress CMS
  • Understand current site performance and engagement to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensure functionality is active and working properly – particularly key engagement points including click to call, request information options, videos, etc.
  • Develop a process to ensure web and email inquiries are responded to and tracked
 

Social media

  • Build a content strategy and calendar for Facebook and Instagram
  • Write and design posts
  • Utilize a social media management tool to upload and manage all posts
  • Respond to comments and questions as needed, engaging subject matter experts when needed
 

Review management

  • Run GatherUp review request and aggregation platform on a regular basis
  • Execute against strategy provided by digital marketing partner
  • Track and evaluate current review performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
 

Ambassador program (current family activation)

  • Work with digital marketing partner to design the ambassador program strategy and activities
  • Select and manage ambassador participants
  • Create all assets and materials ambassadors will need
  • Track the status and progress of the program
 

Fundraising and Event support (bowl a thon, golf outing, annual fund dinner, giving tuesday)

  • Organization of the details of the event
  • Collateral material for the event
  • Promotional/sponsor/participant gifts
  • Publication and promotion of event
  • Collaborate with leadership on written fundraising appeals and acknowledgements
  • Collaborate with partners to create videos to support events and appeals
  • Grant research and writing 
 

Marketing Performance and Results 

  • Utilize reports provided by agency partner to understand performance and identify areas of opportunity (Google Analytics, GatherUp, etc)
  • Work with agency partner to ensure that performance tracking is in place for all programs, including fundraising events so that measurement is happening across all initiatives
 

Interact with board and committees

  • Present status report in monthly board meeting
  • Obtain feedback and implement adjustments as needed
 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, and/or commensurate professional experience in design and marketing
  • 1-2 years of digital and/or graphic design experience
  • Knowledge and independent use of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge and independent use of WordPress as a content management system
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent oral and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve
  • Extremely attentive to detail

Job Title: Donor Relations

Description: The Donor Relations associate will create and implement a strategic plan for developing relationships with donors, friends, and alumni of Chapel Hill Christian School to fund special programs, projects and capital improvements. This team member will represent Chapel Hill Christian School and the mission/vision of CHCS to prospective partners. A passion for excellence, and a desire to increase the support base at Chapel Hill Christian School is required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • Integrity, credibility, and a commitment to CHCS’ mission
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in school and/or the nonprofit sector preferred
  • Experience using personal computer required; knowledge of donor management systems preferred
  • Flexible, personable and self-starter; able to multitask while also being detail-oriented; highly organized and willing to work with a team
  • Strong communication skills a must
 

ESSENTIAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to communicate, establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, administration, donors and the community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of school requirements and policies. Ability to effectively present information to administration, staff and the Board as needed. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote, communicate, and market the mission/vision of Chapel Hill Christian School (CHCS), as well as evidence which supports the fulfillment of the mission, to stakeholders (parents, grandparents, donors, alumni, community).
  • Cultivate the annual fund as a component of the total development plan for CHCS.
    • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for obtaining donations.
    • Identify, solicit, steward, maintain, and upgrade annual giving donors.
    • Provide stewardship in the encouragement and recognition of donor philanthropy, communicating regularly and maintaining relationships with all donors.
      • Manage the donor database.
      • Track and appropriately thank donors.
      • Provide documentation of gifts to all donors, including end-of-year.
      • Generate new relationships through current relationships.
  • In coordination with Lead Administrator, identify, cultivate, and solicit donors (including corporations and foundations) for all components of the total development plan:
    • Major gifts (including corporations and foundations)
    • Scholarship program
    • Special projects
    • Planned giving
    • Capital Campaigns
  • Provide input and assist in planning annual fundraising events, to heighten awareness of Chapel Hill Christian School in the local community.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly administration meetings.
  • Attend monthly Board meetings; participate on the Board Development Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Description: Responsibilities would include coordinating/writing service plans (IEP), implementing and overseeing accommodations and modifications in teaching, student assessment, and collaboration with parents and teachers.

Qualifications: Ohio Intervention Specialist License. Experience is preferred; professes faith in Jesus and exhibits a growing relationship with Him.

North Campus:

Job Title: Food Services Director

Category: Salary

Days/Hours: Part-time (10 months)

Description: The Food Services Director will administer Chapel Hill Christian School’s food service program, providing nutritious meals to all students and adults through the efficient operation and management of individual school cafeterias.

Evaluation: Annually in the spring

Supervisor: Lead Administrator

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

  • Associate’s Degree in Food Services or related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in school nutrition programs
  • Food Safety Training (8 hour minimum)
  • National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Basic Program Training

     

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Regulations:

  • Direct, organize and maintain food service operation in compliance with state and federal mandates
  • Submit all required state and federal applications and reports for the National School Lunch Program
  • Enforce health department regulations and those directed by administrative board policy
  • Promote good nutrition for all students regardless of race, sex, color, national origin, age or handicap
 

Management and Daily Operations:

  • Participate in the hiring process; Supervise and evaluate all food service and lunchroom employees
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality at all times regarding personnel concerns and records, and free and reduced lunch applications
  • Oversee Food service program for two campuses (North and South) 
  • Cooperate with building principal(s) in making schedules regarding the general  operation of the kitchen and lunchroom, ensuring food service staff understand what is needed to keep lunch timely and orderly
  • Manage daily kitchen and lunchroom operations at North Campus; Supervise South campus Food Services Supervisor with general oversight of South campus operations
  • Order, receive and maintain inventories for all food and supplies purchased from vendors or procured from the USDA/Ohio Department of Education Commodities Distribution
  • Plan, implement and prepare cost-effective menus monthly, that provide the required elements as directed by the Ohio Department of Education Child Nutrition Services
  • Monitor food production and service to assure that planned menus are followed and that substitutes comply with meal requirements
  • Maintain written production records daily
  • Provide an annual inventory of foods and materials at the completion of the school year
  • Participate in the daily duties of food preparation, serving and cleanup
  • Ensure student safety at all times
 

Professional Development:

  • Attend conferences, seminars and presentations to enhance professional development in the areas of food service management 
  • Provide training to kitchen staff on the correct procedures of quality cookery, efficient serving, portion control, sanitation, maintenance of equipment and orderly housekeeping
