When I think about Chapel Hill Christian School, the word blessing always comes immediately to mind, followed by – legacy, vision, love, caring, challenging and exciting! CHCS has been all these things to me – and to my family through the years that we have been a part of this wonderful school. I began at the South Campus as a parent of three sons who graduated from CHCS. In the years since, I have experienced CHCS not only as a parent, but also as a volunteer, nurse, substitute teacher, teacher, coach, aunt, and grandmother. As a parent, CHCS became crucial in raising my sons in a way that worked in conjunction with our church and family. As a parent I would seek the wisdom of the godly teachers and principal that God had placed in our sons’ lives. Serving the school as a volunteer parent and prayer warrior helped me to know and understand the heart of the school. I loved how the students were being taught challenging academics from a Biblical perspective, in order to help each one stretch, grow and develop. Just as “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man”, Luke 2:52, CHCS recognizes that all students need to grow mentally, physically, social-emotionally and spiritually. What a blessing it has been to me through the years to watch students that have been given the opportunity to soar in ways they might not have had elsewhere Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. Luke 10:27
