Kimberly Floyd
4th Grade Teacher
South
Hello, my name is Kimberly Floyd. I am a graduate of CHCS South and CVCA. I then continued my education at Geneva College and graduated in 2017 with an Elementary and Special Education degree. In my free time, I love to stay active and be outside, which includes playing and watching sports like soccer, basketball, and baseball. I also love spending time with friends and family. In my family, I have my parents, Tom and Jodi, and two brothers, Joe and Robert. They have all been so supportive of my teaching career. I love teaching, and I look forward to another great school year! I enjoy teaching elementary school because I love active, fun learning. I believe that students learn best when they are engaging with more than one of their senses at a time. In addition, I love to incorporate Biblical integration into all that we do in the classroom. God has created each child with such unique learning abilities, and that’s why we use such a variety of learning activities in our classroom! What’s Special about 2nd Grade:
  • Students continue to gain independence
  • Students learn to work cooperatively to accomplish tasks
  • Students are able to dive into reading and writing activities
