Hello, my name is Jill Darlington. I am excited to begin this new season of my life teaching 4th Grade Math and Science at Chapel Hill Christian School. God has blessed me to find this opportunity. I look forward to sharing lessons in science, exploring the world God has created, and using the math that tells the story.
I was born in Illinois, and have lived in Georgia, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, California, and Pennsylvania, before I moved to the best state, Ohio. I attended The University of Akron. I graduated with a B.S. in Middle Childhood Education, with a concentration in Mathematics, Science, and Reading. My husband and I have been married over 30 years and we have two grown children.
As a math teacher, I want to teach students that math has its own majestic beauty. Numbers are a language and a tool that can be used to describe and measure the world around us, which we study in the sciences. God uses his creation to declare his glory. Science gets to explore this every day.
What’s special about this grade?
• Students begin to use their reading skills to learn independently
• Students begin to become abstract thinkers, making conclusions about what they learn
