Google Classroom

All communication on classwork and assignments are to happen through Google Classroom. We want parents to have one place to check that they know will have all information required.

Setup: Log in to google with CHCS account. Click grid icon in upper right. Click Classroom. Create classes.


Make sure all resources are available in Clever. Contact Tech Support if anything needs added or is having issues connecting properly for your students

Google Hangouts Meet

All video-conferencing for students is to happen through Meet. This is for their safety since we can control settings for these accounts and since it’s part of Google Classroom, they are already set up.

Setup: Log in to google with CHCS account. Click grid icon in upper right. Click Meet.


You can use formative for assignments that you want students to interactively complete. You can track their progress in real-time and set up assignments to be auto-graded, then export a spreadsheet that is easy to copy into your gradebook.

Setup: Check email for invitation.


Record your screen, webcam, or both. Can save videos directly to Google Drive to then drop videos directly from drive into classroom.

Parent Communication


Use remind to send out important information to parents.

* Utilize the remind PHONE CALL feature to use a private number instead of your personal cell phone when calling parents.


Video Conferencing with parents and staff is to be done through Zoom.

Setup: Go to and create or join a meeting. Program will install on first use.
