UPDATE: Ohio Expanded Ed Choice Scholarship Program

Information for Parents

The Traditional Educational Choice Scholarship Program offers students in grades K – 12 the opportunity to attend a private school for little or no cost. Students from designated public schools qualify for these scholarships.

The opportunity to give your child a dedicated and rewarding Christian education is now more attainable due to recent updates to the Expanded Ed Choice Scholarship Program, which was a part of House Bill 33, signed by Gov. DeWine on July 3, 2023. Families at higher income levels now qualify for assistance. All K-8 Ohio resident students are now eligible for:

We encourage New Applicants to submit their Ed Choice Request Form to your CHCS Office along with proof of residence. 

The Ohio Department of Education is in the process of updating its Scholarship Income Verification System to allow families to enter and submit their income information electronically to the Scholarship Office for verification of income status. Parents can enter household members' and income information and upload supporting income documents directly into the online system. It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3. Once your child has been accepted to CHCS, we encourage you to begin the Income Verification process and find out what scholarship amount they are eligible for.
