Principal, North Campus & Curriculum Director
My name is Sharon Ausbury. It is my privilege to serve as the Principal of Chapel Hill Christian School North and as Curriculum Director at CHCS.
Since 1966, CHCS has prepared our students to face the
world with a strong academic foundation and a Christ-centered worldview. All of our students from Pre-K through 6th grade enjoy music, art, PE, and Spanish classes. We provide a before and after school day care program for the benefit of working parents.
In a recent study, George Barna determined that of our view of God and many of our Christian values are developed by the age of 12. This fact puts great importance on an elementary Christian school education.
At Chapel Hill Christian School, we work hard to help our children develop a Christian worldview. Through an academic program that stresses excellence, mission projects at home and abroad, and the godly example of a well-educated, certified faculty, we help our students apply their Christian values to their problem solving, their friendships, and their daily choices. We want them to become salt and light in a dark and decaying society.
What a pleasure it is for me, the Principal, to watch the children grow academically, physically, spiritually, and socially as they progress through our program. How wonderful to sit in classes and listen as teachers share God’s truth as they teach the different subjects areas. When I look at our end of the year testing results, I can see that we have been successful in helping the students move closer to their God-given potential.
