North Campus Principal, Mrs. Cathy Shafer
Chapel Hill is my “home away from home” – simply because I love being here! It is a place where there is love, security and God’s presence in a very real way. My years here began right after college when I taught first and second grades. My two children were born and I began teaching kindergarten! I was blessed to be a CHCS parent and experience that side of our school. It is a wonderful thing to know that there are individuals dedicated to God and education who are caring for your children!
One of the most exciting things that I have experienced is having CHCS grandchildren! When alumni bring their own children back here, we are blessed in experiencing a strong Christian heritage continuing to the next generation. Children are so open to God’s Word and wanting to please and follow Him. It is my personal goal to help prepare children to live fully in our world and have the confidence in their eternal life in heaven through Jesus Christ.
As I step into the role of North Campus Principal, it is with a sense of humbleness that God is continuing to stretch and use my life at CHCS. It is an honor to work here. The faculty and staff are dedicated in their service to God and our families. It is so wonderful to watch our children progress academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially through our program. We work diligently to provide our children with an excellent education, a view of missions in our community and around the world and a sense of God’s purpose in their lives. The investment for your child at CHCS is invaluable on so many levels. I am thrilled to partner with each family in the lives of our precious children.
South Campus Principal, Mrs. Linda Wise
When I think about Chapel Hill Christian School, the word blessing always comes immediately to mind, followed by – legacy, vision, love, caring, challenging and exciting! CHCS has been all these things to me – and to my family through the years that we have been a part of this wonderful school. I began at the South Campus as a parent of three sons who graduated from CHCS. In the years since, I have experienced CHCS not only as a parent, but also as a volunteer, nurse, substitute teacher, teacher, coach, aunt, and grandmother.
As a parent, CHCS became crucial in raising my sons in a way that worked in conjunction with our church and family. As a parent I would seek the wisdom of the godly teachers and principal that God had placed in our sons’ lives. Serving the school as a volunteer parent and prayer warrior helped me to know and understand the heart of the school. I loved how the students were being taught challenging academics from a Biblical perspective, in order to help each one stretch, grow and develop. Just as “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man”, Luke 2:52, CHCS recognizes that all students need to grow mentally, physically, social-emotionally and spiritually. What a blessing it has been to me through the years to watch students that have been given the opportunity to soar in ways they might not have had elsewhere.
Now as God is calling me to assume the role of Principal for the South Campus of CHCS, I am honored and humbled to help carry on that invaluable heritage and vision, as we provide the challenging and caring environment that defines CHCS. I am rejoicing with great anticipation for the vision of an exciting future for the South Campus, as we continue to serve those that God has placed here and as we are honored to be able to point them to Jesus. I look forward to serving with your family in this great mission.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. Luke 10:27
May God Bless!
