Mrs. Mary Sebright

Grade: 2nd Grade
Email: Mrs. Mary Sebright

My name is Mary Sebright and I have been teaching at Chapel Hill Christian School since 1990. My husband and I reside in Green, Ohio. Our children are all grown, married and on their own. Two of my daughters live in Ohio and one lives in Virginia. I have six grandchildren.

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I received a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Michigan University. I have taken additional course work from the Old Dominion University, Moody Bible Institute, Malone and Kent State University. Prior to coming to Chapel Hill I taught in Christian schools in Michigan, Virginia and Dayton, Ohio. I have spent my teaching career in the classroom and also I have worked with children who have specific Learning Disabilities.

My goal for every child in my class is for them to become independent learners. This happens as they become more responsible for their own work and start to be better readers and mathematicians. I find great joy in seeing students experience success in their learning. I am delighted to be teaching your child this year.

Another physical change that can be easily seen is the loss of the baby teeth. Their emerging social skills bring new friendships and a growing enjoyment of group activities.
