Mrs. Lisa Spodnik

Grade: 5th Grade
Email: Mrs. Lisa Spodnik

My name is Lisa Spodnik. It is my privilege and joy to be a 5th grade teacher at Chapel Hill Christian School. I am blessed to have the opportunity to use my passion for teaching and love of literature to impact young lives for Christ.

While I enjoy all subjects in elementary education, my area of greatest academic interest has always been Reading. I have an undergraduate degree from Messiah College in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Reading from Millersville University.

My prayer for my students this year is that each student will not only grow academically but also in their relationship with Jesus Christ. I want my students to continue to be equipped with the Gospel so that like Romans 12:2 says, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is his good, pleasing and perfect will."

It is my pleasure to journey with the 5th graders at Chapel Hill Christian School for a year of growth in Biblical truth and academic excellence.

What's Special About This Grade?

One of the main goals of fifth grade is to teach independence in their researching and study skills. Fifth graders are learning to express their ideas in writing both in poetry and in reactions to their readings. I love reading their works. They have some great insights.
