Mrs. Kim Maher

Grade: 3rd Grade
Email: Mrs. Kim Maher

Hello, my name is Kim Maher. One of the greatest privileges God has given me has been the opportunity to be an elementary teacher. Ever since early elementary school, God has given me the desire to teach. He has lead me on a wonderful journey teaching both in a public and private school environment. I am looking forward to working along side each Chapel Hill Christian School family in the educational, spiritual, social and emotional process of your children. Third grade is an exciting time of wonder and discovery as the children work cooperatively and independently developing their mind, body and heart for the Lord. I am honored to be a part of the process. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Len. He is a Youth Pastor in Wadsworth. The Lord has blessed our lives with two wonderful daughters, Leah and Natalie. Our family is delighted to be a part of Chapel Hill Christian School.

The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to serve Him at CHCS. My prayer is that my students and their families will see the love of Christ through me. I also pray they will grow spiritually as well as academically, emotionally, and socially. I just love to watch them learn and grow. CHCS is such a great place to be a teacher.

Students may choose any book that has an AR test made for it. To find out whether your book has an AR test, consult www.arbookfind.com. Please don't allow your student to read a book and plan on taking a test without checking this list. There is nothing we can do if a book is read without there being a test and they will not get credit for reading it. Students make their own choice with parents overseeing.

What's Special About This Grade?

Third grade is a transitional year from the "right answer" teacher-directed curriculum of second grade and the "explain your answer" independence of the fourth grade. Learning to be self-directed and self-governed are important new skills.
