hunter-quinnI got a great message through the mail today that I can’t resist sharing with you!

Hunter, one of our awesome 4th graders, was a blessing to her church on Christmas Day which in turn, became a blessing to her school. Can you believe that Hunter was selected to share the Sunday Morning message at her church, St. Thomas Baptist Church?

St. Thomas sent me the following note: “We are pleased to let you know that your teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are evident in your students. Hunter…brought the message here at St. Thomas Baptist Church on Sunday, December 25 to our congregation.”

Isn’t that exciting news? Now, here is the amazing part: Hunter’s message significantly impacted St. Thomas Baptist Church. Then, because the testifying of it came to me and you the 1,000 or so family members of Chapel Hill Christian School are blessed by her message. And now it gets “out of the box!” Here is the rest of the letter:

“We are therefore, on her behalf, sending you a check in the amount of $75.00, for your Guatemala Missions. May God continue to bless you, your school and the Missions Ministry. Yours in Christ, Rev. Michael Holly, Pastor”

Do you see it?! Hunter’s message at St. Thomas Baptist Church on Christmas morning literally impacted people around the world.

This gets me to thinkin’ of this wonderful text in the book of Isaiah: “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

Is it important that we teach God’s word to boys and girls? You better believe it is!

Proud of ya, Hunter!
