My name is Jodi Orihel. I was born and raised in the Akron area. I received my Bachelor's Degree from The University of Akron in 1986. I earned a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education (specializing in the teaching of Orthopedically Handicapped children). I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education in 1992.

I taught students with orthopedic handicaps at Barrett Elementary School in the Akron Public School system beginning in 1986. In 1994 my husband and I decided that our biggest priority was for me to stay at home with our small children.

My husband Tom and I have been married since 1987. He is one of the owners of Akron Hardware. He has been involved with Chapel Hill Christian School in many ways over the years, including serving as a soccer coach and board member. I have served as a volunteer in various ways at the Green Campus. We have been blessed to have two of our children graduate from Chapel Hill Christian School. Our son, Joseph, and daughter, Kimberly, are now attending Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. Our youngest son, Robert, attends CHCS at the Green Campus

We have been so blessed by the faculty and staff at Chapel Hill over the years and I am very excited to return to teaching as the Math Specialist this year! I will be at the Green Campus all day on Wednesdays working with students to improve their math skills.
