Miss Brenda Kauffman

Grade: 4th Grade
Email: Brenda Kauffman

My name is Brenda Kauffman and I am excited to be able to be teaching at Chapel Hill Christian School! I attended CHCS as a fifth and sixth grader and I realized as a 6th grader that I someday wanted to come back and teach here. My prayer was answered in the fall of 1997 when I began teaching fourth grade.

I grew up in the Barberton area, attended public school until 5th grade when I made the move to CHCS, and as a 7th grader, attended Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy where I graduated from high school. I attended Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, graduating with a BS in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's Degree in K-12 Technology Integration Specialization.

As one of the fourth grade teachers, my goal is to encourage my students to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all they do. I also want to instill in them a sense of value and responsibility with their work, a sense of confidence or an "I can do it" attitude, and a willingness to take a risk and try something new. It will also be my privilege to pray for you and your family and assist in any way that I can to help grow your children up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord."

Students may choose any book that has an AR test made for it. To find out whether your book has an AR test, consult www.arbookfind.com. Please don't allow your student to read a book and plan on taking a test without checking this list. There is nothing we can do if a book is read without there being a test and they will not get credit for reading it. Students make their own choice with parents overseeing.
